About Us
Citadelle Gorges is a charming little traditional hotel that is unlike any other. It consists of 7 bedrooms that overlook the valley. The hotel is an ancient fortress built in the 16th century as a major tower to control access to the Berber village of Ait Ibrirne. The restoration of the Kasbah began in 2011 and took us 4 full years to restore every part of it. Our goal was to make it an ideal place for travelers who are looking to experience the real Berber traditions and life, and discover the local architecture. The hotel features a typical Moroccan lounge, a restaurant, and three pretty terraces with magnificent views of the surrounding mountains and gardens (360°), on the old kasbahs and the Dades Valley.
Citadel Gorges is located in the heart of the Dades Valley, halfway between Marrakech and the Sahara desert, which makes it a strategic alternative to spend the night and enjoy this exceptional location at the crossroads of the Four Valleys. It is 15 km from the Valley of Roses, 15 km from the Valley of Birds, and 50 km from the Todgha Gorges as well as the Todgha Valley. Nearby, you will find a district of historical importance, a waterfall, a long canyon, and the famous formation of monkey finger rocks. You can also explore the monkey finger canyon and the Dades Gorge. Jbel Mgoune, which is 4067m high, is only 14 km away.
Come and experience the beauty of the Dades Valley at Citadelle Gorges. Our hotel is the perfect place to relax and unwind while enjoying the stunning views of the surrounding mountains and gardens. We offer a unique blend of traditional Berber hospitality and modern amenities, making it an ideal destination for travelers who want to experience the best of both worlds. Whether you are looking for adventure or relaxation, Citadelle Gorges has something for everyone. Book your stay today and discover the magic of Morocco!

The main architectural features were the Kasbah and the Ighrm, but there were also shrines and isolated watchtowers.
Building systems were the adobes. Today, new buildings are built with concrete and follow standards aesthetic hybrids
